Recorded live on the alter of an 102 year-old Sanctuary in San Francisco. Every Sunday the pews are pushed up and Bibles are put away and the guitars and microphones are brought out for a few hours and some very tasteful music is played.
lyrics
silent city
wave goodbye, to yesterday,
my mind is still, like the night
silent city, comes to wake,
as i part, and take my leave
all these years, they go by,
like a train, into the night
forgotten tears, remember you,
at your most, lifted state
lets take a ride, away from here, no one will know
the air blows by, with windows open wide, before sunrise
the skyline fades, into a morning haze, we'll take that ride
...one more time
and the morning breaks, to a silent city,
i break away, into a silent dream
this place can take, a piece of me,
each breath i take, is lost in here
it's time to go, we've said too much,
your eyes are tired, but i'm wide awake
i'm passing cars, changing lanes,
i'm looking back, in my rearview
lets take that ride, away from here, to relive
those memories, the wind has blown, across the sky
so many times, we'll remember, and always will...
...one more time
now i leave you, cold and gray
but i'll return, old and frail
Peace of Mind:
If I leave this city behind, will i find some peace of mind?
If I leave it all behind, what will i, really find?
